News & Events
After 5 years in the Los Olivos Tasting Room and 7 years in the Santa Maria winery, we have moved everything to one facility in Lompoc, CA. Less than a mile away from the famous "Wine Ghetto," our new home brings wine production, Tasting Room and storage all under one roof. The non-descript blue and white warehouse has a warm inviting Tasting Room in front and over 2000 sq. ft. of production in the rear. We invite you to stop by, sample the wines and see how Scott Cellars wines are made.
Steve Heimoff reviewed three of our wines
for Wine Enthusiast:
Cuvée Blanc 2009
blend of Pinot Blanc and Chardonnay brims with spicy tangerine,
orange cream and vanilla flavors. It’s very
rich, yet dry, while brisk acidity makes the finish clean.
Not terribly complex, but an agreeable wine.
First Mesa Pinot Noir 2009,
Santa Maria Valley
Sharp and minty, with a wintergreen tartness to the fruitier
cherries and herb tea. The wine is supple and dry, with a
lovely silky texture, but the acidity is strong.
Krow Shore Syrah 2008, Santa Barbara
Good price for a rich, textured Syrah. Shows delicious
pepper and sandalwood flavors, wrapped into smooth tannins.
Drink this soft, fruity Syrah now.
We brought home the gold – and the silver, and the
bronze from the San Francisco International Wine Competition!
